Why Board Your Dog at the Dog Ranch?
It’s “camp for dogs” here at the Dog Ranch in the beautiful Bowen Island valley just 20 minutes from West Vancouver. Living on Bowen Island allows the dogs to have lots of outdoor space to have fun and though it’s not that easy to get to, it’s all about the dogs here.

We offer many hours of outdoor playtime so your dog becomes part of the structured daily routine of supervised playtime and naps, meals and more playtime, in the trails, forest, and pasture areas of the property. The socialization, exercise and stimulation is not only with the other dogs but also with all our staff who interact and play with all the dogs while keeping an eye out for any issues that may arise.

Bowen Island has no bears or cougars but a lot of deer, so we’ve double-fenced the entire Dog Ranch property to make it as safe as possible for your dog and eliminating any stress for you - knowing they will remain within the confines of the Dog Ranch at all times.

The balance of all the outdoor time with the calm and friendly environment inside our boarding facility is what sets the Dog Ranch apart; it’s the healthiest and safest place for your dog.

We accept most ages, sizes and breeds that are neutered or spayed and healthy, with up-to-date vaccinations
Our convenient Shuttle vehicles can pick up and drop off your dog in West Vancouver, North Vancouver and the West End of downtown Vancouver.
The Dog Ranch staff offers a customized approach to introduce your dog to the other dogs so they are comfortable socially with everyone. We do not accept aggressive dogs.
More than one dog from the same family may share a room.
Our heated boarding facility has 21 separate rooms of various sizes. Each room has a 4’ high solid wall and a gate through which the dogs can see their neighbours. They are outfitted with big, comfortable beds and an automatic refillable water bowl to ensure a constant supply of fresh water.
The design of our rooms ensures a safe environment and private time for each dog as they get a lot of stimulation at the Dog Ranch and naps are very important to maintain a balanced environment
The boarding facility also has 24-hour monitored fire and security system to ensure the safety of the dogs at all times.
If your dog prefers to be crated, we provide large, medium and small crates.

Hours of work

Monday through Friday 7:45am – 6pm
Saturday and Sunday 8am – 5pm

Morning pick up and drop off:
7:45am - 10:30am (Monday - Friday)

Afternoon pick up and drop off:
3pm – 6pm (Monday - Friday)
3pm - 5pm (Saturday and Sunday)

New dogs Arriving:
8:00am - 10:30am ONLY to ensure your dog is comfortable at the Dog Ranch before nighttime

Christmas Holidays: **3 - night Minimum Dec. 24 - Jan. 2**

We are closed for any pick ups or drop offs:

Dec. 24 at 10:30am through Dec. 26 at 9am
Dec. 31 at 10:30am through Jan. 2 at 9am
